The future takes form
Grain’s expansive lofts shelter a communal courtyard designed as a retreat from urban life. Four of every six units on each floor are through units, offering cross ventilation and north and south light. Designed to give you room to grow, each unit has its own generous terrace or balcony for communion with the open air. Access to parking stackers, and laneway-connected bike racks, ensure that no matter how you enjoy the neighbourhood, all roads lead you home.
Welcome to the woods
Grain’s front entrance acts as a portal, transporting you immediately into a world of serene vitality. You can almost hear the hushed swaying of evergreens as you pass through the wood-clad corridor and glimpse the nestled courtyard, dappled with western light. Looking around, the building’s nature – its structure, its purpose – unfolds for you.
Your quiet place
Inspired by Japanese garden design, Grain’s courtyard is a space for contemplation and repose. Sculptures hewn from Ontarian rock and stone seating nested in a perennial garden invite you to gather. At the heart of this scene, a single Japanese maple erupts in brilliant rubies, garnets, and crimsons – a beacon, calling you home.
Outside wants in
By using wood as both structure and finish, we’ve created a healthier design, with a smaller environmental footprint and a holistic feel that radiates through the entire building. Grain’s interiors invite you to embrace the natural world and live your wildest dreams.
